The Swiss Baseball & Softball Federation is the umbrella organization of all federations, clubs and organizations dealing with baseball and softball in Switzerland. The Federations goal is the promotion, development and regulation of baseball and softball in Switzerland.
To achieve the athletic goals, the SBSF is looking to hire (as of September 1, 2015) a
Head Coach Baseball U18 Juniors
The areas of responsibility are:
- Leading the National Teams monthly practices
- Participation in the CEB European Championships and various invitational tournaments
- Composition of the coaching squad in consultation with the Head of Competitive Sports
- Creation of the annual practice program in consultation with the Team Manager and the Head of Competitive Sports
- Conducting the annual tryouts along with the assistant coaches
- Ongoing scouting in coordination with the head coaches of the U15 and Seniors squads
- Composition of the final team in consultation with the Head of Competitive Sports
- Implementation of the SBSF‘s Concept for Competitive Sports
- Formulation of middle- and long-term goals in coordination with the Head of Competitive Sports
- Nomination of the participants for the MLB Europe Elite Camps tryouts
The candidate brings along the following expertise:
- above average communication and interpersonal skills
- Proof of coaching expereince and/or J+S basic and further education
- German and/or English; spoken and written well
